Si3 Group

When Progress Stalls,
Caritas Moves Us
Forward.

At SI3 Group, we leverage Caritas — deep, genuine caring for the clients and communities we serve — to drive successful client outcomes.

Misalignment in stakeholder interests can often be costly; not just financially, but in terms of trust, momentum, and opportunity.

Si3 Group is a strategic consulting firm that specializes in enabling clients to navigate the complex web of stakeholder relationships. We understand the language, the priorities, and the pain points of each stakeholder, and we leverage that knowledge to craft win-win-win solutions.

Meet the Founder: Ted Carter

Ted Carter has built his career at the nexus of business, government, and community—and he's mastered the art of helping all three win together.

Over three decades, he's earned the trust of mayors, CEOs, and community leaders by bringing something rare to high-stakes projects: authentic care paired with proven results.

Ted’s bona fides are significant: former Chief Economic Development Business Officer for Cuyahoga County, Ohio; Deputy Assistant Secretary, Management Operations, US Department of Treasury, where he led the Department’s effort to develop and relocate the ATF’s national headquarters.

But what truly sets him apart is his approach; at once strategic and deeply human. He believes that behind every development project or policy challenge are real people with real hopes, hurts, and hurdles.

Ted listens first, builds trust through transparency, and designs solutions that work for communities and bottom lines.

At SI3, he's assembled a team of fellow bridge-builders who share his commitment to caritas (deep, genuine caring). Together, we help clients navigate the complex relationships between public and private interests to achieve outcomes that truly transform communities.

The SI3 Caritas Principle:
We listen until we understand what constitutes a win for all.

At the intersection of community, government, and business lies transformative impact.

Each sector has its own goals, challenges, and strengths, but it's through strategic collaboration and listening that extraordinary outcomes can be achieved. To learn about the intersection of these sectors, click on each section of the Venn diagram.

Impact

At Si3, we believe that magic happens at the nexus of these three sectors. When community, government, and business align their interests and work together, they create win-win outcomes such as:

  • Communities gaining a powerful voice and access to resources
  • Governments delivering more effective, responsive services
  • Businesses tapping into new markets and a more stable operating environment

Community Assets: Aspirations & Workforce

Communities hold the wisdom, drive, creativity and talent that fuel economic growth. But too often, they lack the resources and innovation needed to effectively realize their potential. They need partners who care deeply, who understand the context of their unique challenges, and who help amplify their voice.

Government Assets: Leadership & Services

The government has the mandate to serve the public good. It sets the rules, allocates resources, and has the power to drive systemic change, requiring leadership and responsive services. But elected leaders can't do it alone. They need partnership and insights from community members, as well as the efficiency and innovation inspired by the private sector.

Business Assets: Capital & Innovation

The private sector is the engine of economic growth and innovation. It has the capital, the expertise, and the agility to drive progress at scale. But businesses that focus solely on the bottom-line risk undermining their own goals and missing possibilities. It’s critical that they seek to understand the social, enviornmental, and political context in which they operate and invest in the long-term health of the communities they serve.

Effective multi-sector collaboration sparks innovation, fosters resilience, and creates new possibilities.
